Make something Monday: Spanish moss topiaries

I really like the look of moss topiaries but I don’t like how much they cost. Thankfully, you can DIY them pretty cheaply.

I went to “blue big box store that starts with a ‘w'” and bought the things you see above. I also collected two sticks from my yard (not pictured).

I then painted the outside of the terra cotta pots with white chalk paint.

I painted them on the inside, too.

Then I glued a little styrofoam ball to the bottom of the pot and shoved one of the sticks from the yard into it. This forms your topiary base.

I covered the “base” by gluing Spanish moss to it until it was well covered.

I then took two more styrofoam balls, glued Spanish moss to them, and attached them to the top of the sticks.

There you have it. Two farmhouse inspired moss topiaries for less than $20.

Cheap, easy and cute- my favorite type of craft.

Have a great week!
