Organized pantries: a Pinterest Roundup

Organized pantries: a Pinterest Roundup

My pantry is a hot mess right now. I’m almost lost when it comes to deciding how to handle it, which is out of character for me. I did what any self-respecting working mama would do…I hit up Pinterest! The ideas I gathered on Pinterest were so awesome, I knew I had to share with you all.

I was drawn to this picture because this pantry and mine are similarly shaped. I love the baskets and glass, and how the food items are stored and grouped. This makes for a very cohesive look.

This is a smaller pantry. My pantry is a walk-in, but there are so many ideas from this picture I can use. I love those baskets the fruit is stored in, and I really like those jar labels. This person really made a great use of the space, too. There’s a lot of stuff in this pantry, but it doesn’t look cluttered.

Those matching containers. Those baskets! Those storage bins! The use of space! Do you notice a trend here yet?

I like all of the same things about this pantry, but I especially like how this pantry is organized using materials you can find in any store. You wouldn’t have to spend a lot of money to do this, either.

What about this lovely pantry doesn’t say “farmhouse?” I love everything about this. Those labels and wire baskets are super cute!!

Here’s another small spaces pantry. I liked this one because I liked those leather-look tags and aged labels. Aren’t they cute?

They say our Pinterest boards are a good indication of what we want our own home to be like. Based on my Pinterest roundup, it seems my pantry needs a little more organization, a more cohesive look and I need to make better use of the space. Stay tuned: next week I’ll show my pantry…in all of its chaotic, messy glory.

I hope you have a wonderful week.

Farmhouse Fridays Pinterest Round-up: my favorite living rooms

I’m gearing up for quite the busy week. My children are back in school and my students are back in my classroom. In spite of all the busyness, I wanted to share some inspiration I found on Pinterest this week…Pin-spiration, if you will 😁.

First up is this lovely room. I chose it because of its rustic wood ladder and chippy furniture. This look would be easy to create and wouldn’t cost much.

This room has so many fun textural elements. From the rug, to the throw pillows, to the big wooden coffee table. Also, did you guys spot that shiplap wall?

I love everything about this room. The fireplace, the beams, and the high ceilings. And is that a headboard ceiling?

I chose this living room for the barn door, the striped curtains and the typo art.

Our own living room will soon undergo a bit of a transformation. Stay tuned, and have a wonderful weekend.

Decorating tips and tricks: decorating with botanical prints- a Pinterest roundup

Botanical prints have long been a decorating staple, but due to the popularity of Joanna Gaines and HGTV’s Fixer Upper, their popularity has skyrocketed.

Botanical prints are a classic and simple way to decorate an empty wall, and you can use them in almost every room. We have a grouping of botanical prints in our dining room:

Here is a roundup of some of my favorite botanical wall decor from Pinterest.

This entry way from Bless’r House is simple, airy and beautiful. The simplicity of the botanical gallery wall only adds to the cozy and inviting feeling this room gives.

This French country inspired room at Hadley Court looks timeless and traditional without looking dated or stuffy.

How about this bathroom with these foliage prints on DecorPad? I like how they add just a subtle pop of color to this neutral bathroom.

This rustic farmhouse bedroom is plenty charming, but even more so due to the sweet botanical gallery above the bed.

Botanical galleries can be used in any room of your home, and they are readily available all over Pinterest for free! Just search “free botanical prints” and you can find whatever you need.

Where will you display your botanical prints?

Due to the Memorial Day holiday, we will resume regular posting schedule on Wednesday, May 30. Thank you, and have a wonderful weekend!

Mudrooms: a Pinterest roundup

Source

We really love our house, and while there are a few things we’d change, we are happy here. One of the things we don’t have but would like to have is a mudroom.

I’ve been scouring Pinterest for mudrooms I love, and I wasn’t disappointed. I decided I’d share some of my favorite findings with you all.

The mudroom in the photo above looks cozy and inviting. I love the light fixtures, the rug, and how bright and airy the room is.

Do you have a small space mudroom? This one-wall set up is perfect! I love the wood stain, the shiplap and the barn lights. So much farmhouse charm in such a small area.

Since our future mudroom will definitely be a laundry/mudroom combo, this lovely space certainly caught my eye. I love that floor and the color of the cabinets!

This laundry room is perfect for the same reasons- pretty floor, pretty cabinets and a shared laundry/mudroom space that blends together well.

Do you have a gorgeous laundry or mudroom? I’d love for you to share it with me!

Have a wonderful weekend.
